My Mom's First Mani & Pedi!

So, I gave my mom a list of choices for her to pick what she would like to do for her birthday, which was on September 11th. One of the choices was getting a Manicure and Pedicure with me. I realized before as I was making this list for her, I have never remembered my mom every wearing nail polish, ever! I thought to myself, "has mom ever gotten a Manicure and Pedicure? If so, it has been quite a LONG time."

When I read my mom the list of what she would like to do with me that day on Saturday, September 11th, she quickly shouted "I want a Manicure and Pedicure!!!" She proceeded to tell me she NEVER had one before. I was so excited to take her out and pamper her for a few hours. My mom deserved this time, to relax, enjoy and feel beautiful! She has done so much for me, and all my family. She loved being pampered :) The women who were of an Asian ethnicity helping us had incredibly strong accents, and half the time they talked in their language, the other half was spent of my mom repeatedly asking "what was that? what did you say?" When they asked her questions, etc. It was quite funny! We both had a fun time! Happy Birthday Momma! I love you!

I know I'm a Slacker...

Hello to whoever looks at our blog! I have to admit that the blog thing excited me at first...what an awesome idea to document and write about Matt & I's life together. But now it has officially intimidated me! Its been difficult to get excited about sitting down on a computer after sitting in front of one 40hrs a week. I want to make a better effort to do it though, its pretty cool to do and see everyones comments.

I have many thoughts, and I hope to write them down more & post more pics! Lots of things are going on in our lives and we keep busy. My mom's birthday is coming up and can't wait to spend some good quality one on one time with her.

So, I am putting this out there that I will be doing better with my blog! So don't forget about us ;)

Happy Birthday Matty!

Matt has to work a long day today for his birthday. But, I am taking him out to his favorite Sushi Restaurant in Alameda. It's called Kamakura-I think it's super yummy and that's saying a lot, since I spent a long time in my life saying I would never try it. Thanks to my best friend Jodee and her family they introduced me to this awesome food group! Matt and his family have been going to Kamakura since he was little.

I love Matt with all my heart and so happy I am with you! I love you Matty! Happy 28th Birthday Babe!

Gave in....Got a "Touch" Phone

Yesterday I got a touch phone, finally retired my old ghetto phone which I absolutely loved. It was super basic but it was a slide phone. For some reason I like the slide phones a lot more than the flip ones.

This Samsung Reality is still pretty basic, not as high tech as an iPhone or anything. I feel I have no need for something that is filled with a ton of "stuff". I love the excitement of getting a new phone, it never gets old. This last day and a half I have been just playing with it and getting use to it.

So far I highly recommend this phone, and I love the Red!

We Fly, iFly & Bodega Bay

For Christmas Matt got us gift certificates to go indoor sky diving in Union City. We didn't redeem them until now. We took advantage of those gift certificates this weekend on Saturday June 5th. Matt took me out on a surprise date night! We went there and then headed to Texas Roadhouse right after to get some food. I have to admit I was a little nervous at first before it was our turn to go into the wind tunnel, but all those nerves went away as I entered inside the wind tunnel with the instructor and I was actually flying. It was the coolest feeling! Reminded me of when I was younger I would stand in front of a big fan and imagine I could fly...but this was actually strong enough to hold me up, and it is laid down the right way to keep me upright.

Before iFly though my dear, wonderful best friend Jodee and I decided to take a last minute trip to Bodega Bay and it was SO fun just driving those three hours round trip with her to get there and back. Once we got there it was overcast looking but, surprisingly hot! We had the best time, as always with one another.

It was really the most perfect day, spent with my best friend and my hubby!

Starting this bad boy, FINALLY!

So, I have decided to start a blog about Matt & I's life together! We were married on November 14th, 2009...and it's already been six months since that day.

I want to make a record of all the fun things we are up to, my thoughts on marriage etc. This is such a great way to document our lives and share it with others.
